70 year old Derek Hathaway realised his personal challenge to sail solo around the coast of Britain - and raised over £4,140 for Rainbow Living.
Derek set sail from Starcross Yacht Club on the Exe, sailing anti-clockwise around the coast of Britain. He spent more than three months at sea and sailed over 1,917 nautical miles, and it was an emotional return to Starcross Yacht Club in July.
Our huge thanks to Derek for undertaking this challenge to raise funds for Rainbow Living.
Kathryn Joules took on the challenge of running the London Marathon 2021 and raised a whopping £2,765 for Rainbow Living.
Kathryn completed the gruelling 26.2 mile course in a fantastic time of 4 hours 43 minutes and said that she had a wonderful day having achieved her ambition to run the London Marathon.
A big shout out to Exeter Police and Community Choir for organising a fantastic fundraising event for us and raising an amazing £699! Thank you all for such a fantastic performance, we really enjoyed a lovely evening of music. All funds raised will go towards refurbishment works at Rainbow House Four and will help towards making the house into a home for our future tenants.
The final figures are in and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Rainbow Quest raised over £11,600 for Rainbow House Four! We are so grateful to the dedicated team who cycled more than 51,000 miles over 11 days, to all the people who supported the cyclists, and to every person who made a donation Thank you everyone!!
We enjoyed a wonderful Celebration Afternoon thanks to Boyces Nursery, Fruit Farm & Manstree Vineyard. Huge thanks to the Boyce family for hosting the event, for the amazing cakes, and all the hard work in organising and supporting this special fundraising event; thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who helped, to the wonderful musicians and singers, and a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came on the day – you helped to raise over £2,500!!
Our tenant Hannah worked with Paul and Claire from All Inclusive Music to organise a Christmas Sing-A-Long and raised an amazing £405.36! All Inclusive Music provide quality music sessions to people with learning disabilities, social care needs and the wider community.
Our supporters Duncan, Will and Jools cycled from John O'Groats to Land's End – over 1,000 miles altogether – and raised an amazing £1,290 for us!
Massive thanks and congratulations to Sam and Emma who both ran the Great West Run in under 2 hours yesterday; between them they have raised an amazing £700 for us! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored them and well done to both these lovely ladies!
