Following the success of the Rainbow Houses in Exeter and Torquay, Rainbow Living was approached to provide a third Rainbow House in Exeter, to provide supported living accommodation for a group of young adults with learning disabilities.

The Third Rainbow House was purchased in the summer of 2016, following three years of fundraising. The property was extensively refurbished, and included a loft conversion, specialist bathroom and kitchen design, as well as a complete rewire and redecoration; all of the refurbishment works were made with the individual needs of our new tenants in mind.

The tenants moved in to their new home in May 2017, with Thera South West providing their professional care and support.

"I love my new home and know I am going to be very happy here" – Hannah

The Third Rainbow House provides another group of young learning disabled adults with the opportunity to experience a degree of independence by moving out of the family home, and to experience life in the wider community.

As with all Rainbow Living tenants, those in the Third Rainbow House will be encouraged to take part in community events and activities in the local area, allowing them to enjoy new experiences and live life to the full.
