In 2008, after many years of planning and fundraising, five young disabled and learning disabled adults moved into Rainbow Living's first Rainbow House in Exeter.

Based on the outskirts of Devon's county town, the house was fully refurbished and adapted to meet the needs of its tenants, each with their own unique requirements. The house has communal space, including a lounge, kitchen and large dining room; tenants have individual bedrooms and bathrooms, and there is separate sleeping and bathroom facilities for support staff. The large garden offers tenants the opportunity to enjoy outdoor space and includes a small vegetable area.
