"It's my home. I'm well settled now." – Phil
"We have got a bit more freedom. We enjoy time together and we do our own thing too." – Claire
Rainbow Living purchased its second Rainbow House in 2012. The house was fully refurbished and now provides a home for five tenants, ranging in age from 30 to 40.
The house has communal space, including a lounge and large kitchen/dining area; tenants have individual bedrooms and bathrooms, and there is separate sleeping and bathroom facilities for support staff. There is a courtyard garden and the house is within walking distance to the beach.
Moving into the Torquay Rainbow House provided this group of learning disabled adults an opportunity to move out of the family home for the first time. As in the Exeter Rainbow House, our Torquay Rainbow tenants are supported in their daily lives by Christian care provider Prospects.

We have local contacts in Torbay to support maintenance issues but Rainbow Living is responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained.
Calling all (first timers and experienced!) marathon runners - could you take on the Exeter Marathon to raise funds for Rainbow Living? The Exeter Marathon, taking place on Sunday 20th May 2018, is now open for entries. The course is ideal for those competing for the first time as well as experienced runners; most of it is along the footpaths and cycle tracks of the River Exe and Ship Canal so you'll have beautiful views along the way! If you are interested in taking part please visit the website for further information or do get in touch with us if you would like to have a chat about it first. We would be very grateful to anyone who can take on this marathon challenge - we will support you in promoting your involvement and fundraising, and every penny you raise will go straight back into our work!
